Overview 개요

Skull Match is an original strategic puzzle game created in-house at Flovah, set in the dark fantasy world of Vaelorn. Four heroes, each carrying their own element and story, battle wits on a rune-matching board.

From worldbuilding and character design to UI and launch cinematic, every layer of the game was built under one visual identity of noir black, antique gold, and rune-carved blackletter.

Skull Match는 Flovah가 자체 개발한 오리지널 전략 퍼즐 게임으로, 다크 판타지 세계관 베일로른(Vaelorn)을 배경으로 합니다. 각자의 속성과 서사를 지닌 네 명의 영웅이 룬 매치 퍼즐 위에서 수를 겨룹니다.

세계관 구축과 캐릭터 디자인부터 UI, 출시 시네마틱까지 게임의 모든 레이어를 누아르 블랙, 앤티크 골드, 룬이 새겨진 블랙레터라는 하나의 비주얼 아이덴티티 아래 제작했습니다.

The Game

Link a weapon to skulls, and your hero strikes them down. Every turn is a chain of choices. Clear the board now, set up your next move, or save your skill for the right moment. Four heroes of different elements each demand a different strategy, and the same puzzle becomes an entirely different game depending on who you fight with.

무기와 해골을 이어 연결하면 영웅이 해골을 공격합니다. 매 턴은 선택의 연속입니다. 지금 보드를 정리할 것인가, 다음 수를 위해 판을 설계할 것인가, 스킬을 아껴둘 것인가. 속성이 다른 네 영웅은 저마다 다른 전략을 요구하며, 같은 퍼즐도 누구와 싸우느냐에 따라 전혀 다른 게임이 됩니다.

Development

The first build started rough and simple. A prototype with little more than core rules and puzzle structure. From there, graphic elements and details were developed step by step, raising the visuals to a level true to the world's concept. Along the way we tuned the game balance and layered in effects that give every match its impact, so that how the game looks and how it plays became one experience.

초기 빌드는 러프하고 단순한 디자인에서 출발했습니다. 기본 룰과 퍼즐 구조만 갖춘 프로토타입에서 시작해 그래픽 요소와 디테일을 단계적으로 디벨롭하며, 세계관 컨셉에 충실한 비주얼로 완성도를 끌어올렸습니다. 같은 과정에서 게임 밸런스를 다듬고 타격감을 살리는 이펙트를 더해, 보는 게임과 플레이하는 게임이 하나의 경험으로 이어지도록 했습니다.

The Fall of Vaelorn 베일로른의 몰락

Once, this continent was called Vaelorn. A thousand years of peace, a hundred wise kings, seven spires. An age that seemed eternal. But on the day the last king opened the sealed crypt, the eight lords of death who had slept in its depths awoke.

Cities turned to ash overnight, and everything that had lived rose again as bone. This was the Skull Fall. A single day of ruin that ended the age of bone and began the age of silence.

Now only four survivors remain in the ruins. Each with their own reason, each with their own weapon, they duel the lords of death. We call it the Match.

한때 이 대륙은 베일로른(VAELORN)이라 불렸다. 천 년의 평화, 백 명의 현왕, 일곱 개의 첨탑. 모든 것이 영원할 것 같던 시대. 그러나 마지막 왕이 봉인된 지하 묘소를 열어버린 그날, 깊이 잠들어 있던 여덟 죽음의 군주가 깨어났다.

도시는 하룻밤 사이에 재가 되었고, 살아있던 모든 것은 뼈가 되어 일어섰다. 이것이 스컬 폴(Skull Fall). 뼈의 시대를 끝내고 침묵의 시대를 연 단 하루의 종말.

이제 폐허에는 단 네 명의 잔존자만이 남았다. 각자의 이유로, 각자의 무기로, 그들은 죽음의 군주들과 결투를 벌인다. 우리는 그것을 매치(MATCH)라 부른다.

Cinematic Video

To mark the game's release, we produced a 38-second cinematic trailer built entirely through an AI production pipeline: styleframes, image generation, video synthesis, upscaling, and final grade, directed with the same rigor as a live-action shoot. A full story arc and shot-by-shot storyboards were locked before a single frame was generated.

게임 출시를 알리는 38초 시네마틱 트레일러는 스타일프레임, 이미지 생성, 영상 합성, 업스케일, 최종 색보정까지 전 과정을 AI 프로덕션 파이프라인으로 제작했으며, 실사 촬영과 동일한 연출 기준으로 디렉팅했습니다. 단 한 프레임을 생성하기 전에 전체 스토리 아크와 숏 단위 스토리보드를 먼저 확정했습니다.
